The Lowell Hotel for many years was a small boutique hotel on the Upper East side of Manhattan and by all accounts a spectacular spot. A few years back the owners decided to take it down to the studs and bring in famed designer Michael Smith. The results are breathtaking. Smith’s attention to detail is impeccable.
